Elections for Next Year’s Officers

as the 3rd bfm year draws to a close, it’s time to reflect on our
various misdeeds, debauched acts, and general unfitness to participate
in the larger society; it is also time to choose who will mismanage
the bfm as we carry this behavior into the 4th year
mismanagement is elected - there are three positions: gm, ra, and on sec
gm: responsible for picking bars, wrangling beer specials, collecting
hash cash, bringing flour/colored chalk, planning special events,
making sure the site is updated, and naming people - if the gm wants
to, the gm can delegate any of these responsibilities to anyone at
anytime; the gm can do pretty much whatever the hell the gm wants
ra: responsible for running the circle, causing a general ruckus
on sec: responsible for writing the trash and posting it on the site;
english preferred but not necessary
there is only one gm and only one ra, and there are three on secs (aka
the ‘triple sec’)- if more than one person runs for ra, then the ra
candidate with the second highest number of votes becomes the
‘emergency backup ra’
nominations and voting can be done in person or online - here’s the
schedule…
january 18th - nominations begin in the circle, continue all week
online (nominees can of course decline)
january 25th - last chance for nominations; nominees’ names announced
(everyone should already know who they are, as nominations are public)
february 1 - voting begins in person after the circle, continues all
week online (voting ends february 7)
february 8 - new mismanagement announced in the circle
to nominate online, send an email to the whole group; to vote online,
either email only me or email the whole group (if you email only me
i’ll keep your vote secret) - nominations and voting don’t begin
before the dates posted above
